What are the acceptance standards for sheet metal chassis?

Nowadays, with the continuous improvement of people's living standards, sheet metal chassis have been widely used in all aspects of our lives. Sheet metal chassis made by sheet metal processing technology have many characteristics. Analyzing and utilizing these properties often provide a more stable environment for the application of some electronic components. However, these sheet metal chassis need to be accepted after manufacturing. So do you know what the acceptance standards for sheet metal chassis are?

The acceptance standards for sheet metal chassis are as follows:

  1. The flatness of the bottom surface and other sides of the sheet metal chassis is 1mm.

  2. The verticality of the front and back or left and right facades of the sheet metal chassis relative to the bottom surface is 1mm.

  3. The parallelism of the top and bottom surfaces of the panel is 0.5mm, and the verticality of the side and bottom surfaces is 0.5mm.

  4. After the panel is installed in the sheet metal chassis, it should be vertically straight, with the side surface and the bottom surface of the box perpendicular to 0.5mm, and the bottom surface and the bottom surface of the box parallel to 0.5mm.

  5. The sheet metal chassis is not allowed to have visible tilt or partial crooked or twisted phenomena. The verticality of the frame column and the base is less than 1.5mm. During the inspection, the upper surface of the base is used as the reference, and the inner edge surface of the upper end of the column is used as the measurement point.

  6. When installing the plug-in frame of the circuit board or sheet metal chassis, the tooling needs to simulate the circuit board or chassis for assembly. The tooling should be smooth when loading and unloading the plug-in box. After loading the plug-in box, it should be properly and firmly without floating or looseness. The hard-connected connectors should be accurately positioned, and there should be no abnormal blockage when inserting and unplugging.

  7. The parallelism between the top frame and the base of the sheet metal chassis is less than 1mm. The inspection points are the upper surface of the base and the lower surface of the top frame, and they are mutually referenced. It can also be tested by measuring the length of the diagonal of the six faces, and the difference should not exceed 2.5mm. If there is a middle partition, the parallelism between the top frame and the base can be relaxed to 1.5mm, and the parallelism between the middle partition and the top frame or base is less than 1mm.

To sum up, these are the acceptance standards for sheet metal chassis. However, since each factory and each process of sheet metal processing has different acceptance methods, these acceptance standards are different. Therefore, the above sheet metal chassis acceptance standards are for reference only. If you want to know the actual sheet metal chassis acceptance standards, the specific ones should be based on the actual sheet metal processing manufacturer.
